Protea House is an independent platform founded on a simple belief: structured products and private capital solutions should be explained clearly, executed with precision, and fully understood by the people who use them.
Structured finance does not need to be as complicated as it often appears. When complexity replaces clarity, understanding suffers—and with it, better decision-making. Protea House exists to simplify that complexity, so every investment is understood as clearly as it is executed.
I have sat in credit committees allocating capital, secured approvals under pressure, and taken complex transactions from term sheet through to execution. I have worked through distressed credit and seen how structures behave when assumptions meet reality. I understand where complexity sits, because I have spent my career inside it.
This is not a platform built on theory. It is built on transactions—credit committees, closing documents, fund accounts, and investor conversations where the details mattered, because the outcomes did.
Protea House takes its name from the protea—South Africa's national flower and one of the oldest flowering plants on Earth. It is renowned for its resilience, adapting and thriving where others cannot. It became a fitting symbol for the kind of platform we wanted to build.

I have spent eighteen years in financial services doing the work that matters—originating credit, managing funds, structuring private capital solutions, and building securitisation solutions for asset managers and private investors globally.
I began my career in credit and risk management in South Africa, where I learned that real-world lending decisions teach you more than any classroom. That foundation led me into private banking, where I structured credit facilities for ultra-high-net-worth clients across property, leveraged finance, aircraft, and Lombard lending.
Over time, that work evolved into fund management, where I ran private credit strategies focused on bridge financing for commercial real estate across the US and Western Europe. Today, based in Switzerland, I work in structured products, designing and executing managed certificates and SPV-based investment structures across listed and private markets.
